Ford Fiesta Classic and 2011 Fiesta Sedan gearing to roll in India

Ford India has great plans for the automobile market this year. Ford has not one but two cars up for a launch in India in 2011, one being the entry level sedan, the Ford Fiesta Classic replacing the outgoing Ford Ikon and other being 2011 Fiesta Sedan. Ford Fiesta Classic is the deglam version of the outgoing Ford Fiesta repositioned by the automaker as the entry level sedan pitted against the other affordable sedans in the segment such as Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Manza.

Existing Fiesta repositioned as Ford Fiesta Classic will cater to the mid segment sedan buyers as Ford India has introduced heavy price cut which means that some of the luxury features such as body color rear view mirror and door handles, fog lamps, chrome garnishes and plush interior material had to bid a good-bye to the sedan.

Certain features from Ford Figo might just find their way onto the Fiesta Classic that further cuts the cost. Fiesta Classic will come in two engine options, namely, a 1.6 L 100 Bhp Duratec Petrol engine and a 1.4 L 68 Bhp Duratorq Diesel engine. Sadly the sporty S variant of the Ford Fiesta Classic will be missed by many Ford enthusiasts.

Ford Fiesta Classic was recently spotted doing test rides near Chennai which doubles our anticipations of the car hitting the roads in real time.

2011 Fiesta Sedan that is gearing for a launch in India later this year is Ford’s another baby that sits in the C segment of the automobile market pitted against the mighty New Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna RB, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and Fiat Linea. The sedan comes in two engine options namely, a 1.6 L 118 Bhp Zetec Petrol engine and a 90 Bhp CRDI engine. 2011 Fiesta Sedan will feature a start stop button, keyless entry, disc brakes on four wheels and not to miss the sporty sharp looks that make driving a true delight.
