Lava B8 handset presented for business users across India

The last time we had an opportunity to wax poetic about Lava Mobiles, the company was offering up its A10 touchscreen for consideration. The Lava B10 has now slipped into the Indian market for those faithful to QWERTY keypads. It’s a far cry from the B2 and B5 that were launched previously with Alpha keypads featuring the ABCD layout.

Colored as a phone for business users, the Lava B8 includes Wi-Fi connectivity, a touchpad and push mail support. It sports a 2.3” screen and a 3.2MP camera with LED flash. This dual-SIM gizmo extends up to 16GB of onboard memory, Bluetooth A2DP, Auto Call recorder, extended battery life and more in a chic metallic chassis.

“The launch of Lava B8 fulfills the need of a large segment of businessmen and professionals to remain connected at all times through its unique combination of features like push mail, Wi-Fi and trackpad. Through our customer insight driven innovations we constantly attempt to bridge the customer need gap in keeping with our core value of empowering people,” explained Sunil Raina, Chief Marketing Officer, Lava.

“Lava B8 combines stylish design with unbeatable performance and enhanced specifications that will appeal to the business users and gadget-lovers who require the best and rarest combination of innovation, design and technology in one compact package – in the form factor of their choice,” continued Raina.

This Lava Mobiles product is a handset for work as well as play. It comes with Java embedded games supplemented by a G-sensor for switching between songs and wallpapers by simply shaking the device. Nimbuzz, Snaptu and Opera Mini are part of the standard features and SNS as well as chat services are accessible through the B8.

The Lava B8 has been made available through major outlets across the country for Rs. 5,299.
